Preparing to move brings mixed emotions for Deb and I. As many of you know, living in Colorado has been a dream of ours since we met. Ever since our first trip out West together (shortly after we met at Rocky Rococo's Pizza), we have been scheming of ways to make a living in Colorado. Most of these scheming sessions took place on our way home from the many vacations we would take in the mountains (what else are you going to do on I-80 from Ogallala to Omaha)? We talked of opening a take-and-bake pizza place, vacation rental business, golf business, or any other way to make enough money to raise a family which we desperately wanted. However, most of these sessions would fizzle as we approached the lights of Iowa City, our many close friends and all that was comfortable and routine. Then the kids came...in a hurry....and we decided that Iowa City was a great place to raise a family. But I truly believe that God had other plans for us as all signs began to point to Colorado again. We can't wait for all of the adventures that come with a change of scenery and feel incredibly blessed by the opportunities that have presented themselves. However, we are apprehensive to leave all that is comfortable and easy. Most of all, we are going to miss all of the friends and family that mean the world to us.
